New Jersey is home to many terrific leasing opportunities. Here we present to you a rundown of  four exciting recent leases over the past few weeks. 

Day Care Center Leases 8,000 SF in Skillman, NJ

A day care center has recently announced a lease of 8,000 square feet at Route 518 and Vreeland Drive. The lease was negotiated by Larken Associates with M&A Square Creative Corner. This  agreement will bring the day care center to a space at Montgomery Professional Center which provides office and medical space.

Rob Marek, executive vice president of a division of Larken Associates, has affirmed that  Montgomery Professional Center’s “ideal location within the Princeton area and campus-like  setting continues to resonate with clients.” 

Cameras Manufacturer Leases 12,274 SF in Teaneck, NJ

Leica Camera Inc., an international manufacturer of cameras and sports optics equipment, has  leased 12,274 square feet in Glenpointe Centre West at 500 West Frank W. Burr Boulevard,  Teaneck. Founded in 1869, Leica Camera has been dedicated to the advancement of photography  and is known for offering products of superb craftsmanship. 

The new site will offer executive offices, a camera display showroom, and an equipment repair  facility. In addition, employees will have access to such amenities as a large fitness center,  hundreds of hotel rooms across three on-site hotels, restaurants, covered parking, and around the-clock security. This long-term lease brings Leica Camera’s North American headquarters to  Glenpointe. Mike Giannattasio, president of Leica Camera U.S., has stated that “we are excited  to bring our team to Glenpointe and continue to build upon our success over the years to come.”  

Biopharmaceutical Giant Leases 96,300 SF in Parsippany, NJ

Gilead Sciences, an American biopharmaceutical giant that’s headquartered in California, has  leased 96,300 square feet at 369 Interpace Parkway, Parsippany. This new spot is part of the  Latitude complex, and was made possible by Vision Real Estate Partners and Rubenstein  Partners LP, who have spearheaded plans to modernize the location.

In 2020, Gilead acquired NJ-headquartered biotechnology company Immunomedics and laid off  over a hundred employees of the site’s manufacturing operation, but plans to regrow its  workforce in the state. Hayley Home, Gilead’s director of public affairs, stated that the  company’s new office space “will focus on corporate functions at a variety of levels, such as  medical affairs, regulatory affairs, operations, engineering, quality and supply chain.” 

Pharmaceutical Company Leases 360,000 SF in Warren, NJ

PTC Therapeutics, an American pharmaceutical company, has leased 360,000 square feet in  400-500 Warren Corporate Center Drive, Warren. The deal—also from Vision Real Estate  Partners and Rubenstein Partners LP—solidifies a new corporate headquarters for the company,  and constitutes one of New Jersey’s biggest office leases in the past decade.    

All areas considered, the new location is set to provide offices, collaboration/conferencing  spaces, research laboratories, walking trails, a landscaped pond, an outdoor amphitheater, patio  dining, a full-service cafe, a fitness center, and four covered parking structures.  

Doug McLeester, vice president of global facilities at PTC, expressed his satisfaction with the  deal, saying: “Our new headquarters allows us to have a Class A facility for our growing team,  while keeping the new flexible work paradigm in mind.” He adds that the new facility at Warren  Corporate Center “is the ideal space for our expected future expansion in New Jersey, a  foundational and growing market for biotech in the U.S.”
